Technician

About the Position:

The role involves performing a range of maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance, inspections, corrective maintenance, retrofits, crane installation, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various equipment such as cranes and hoists at different customer locations as instructed.

• Conduct comprehensive reviews for customers upon completion of work and document findings, providing recommendations for corrective actions and addressing safety concerns promptly.
• Assess customer needs and intentions for repairs, spare parts, or additional services, and communicate these to sales representatives to facilitate sales opportunities.
• Utilize company digital tools for all work and customer interactions, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Identify and pursue sales leads and improvement opportunities during service engagements.
• Complete service reports and necessary documentation accurately and promptly, adhering to established guidelines.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets, promptly reporting any issues to supervisors for resolution.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to established safety rules and regulations.
• Report all safety hazards, incidents, injuries, and observations in accordance with legislation and company procedures.

EHS/QMS:

• Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and standards during field activities to maintain required safety standards.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of field service experience.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of material handling, construction, or similar equipment.
• Proficient in the usage of mobile applications, with familiarity with MS Office and general computer literacy considered advantageous.
• Possession of a Class 3 driving license is preferred.

Academic/Professional Qualifications:

• Hold a Diploma/NITEC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with completion of apprenticeship.
• Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in relevant industries, though fresh graduates without prior experience will also be considered.
